Viking Air (VKN, Victoria International) has delivered two DHC-6-400s to the Highlands & Islands Airports Ltd (HIAL) in Scotland. Skyliner Aviation shows G-HIAL (cn 917) and G-SGTS (cn 918) were ferried from Victoria International to Glasgow International via Calgary, Churchill, Iqaluit, Kangerlussuaq, and Reykjavik Domestic last week.

The turboprops will replace a pair of older Twin Otters used to service the Scottish government's Glasgow International to Campbeltown, Tiree, and Barra Public Service Obligation (PSO) routes. Edinburgh is expected to make a decision on which firm will operate the route later this summer. The two aircraft will then be leased to whomever the successful bidder is.
