The US Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded Portuguese ACMI/charter specialist euroAtlantic Airways (YU, Lisbon) an amended Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP) thereby allowing it to offer scheduled as well as charter flights involving the carriage of persons, property, and mail between the European Common Aviation Area (ECA) and the United States.

Until now, euroAtlantic had only been allowed to operate charter flights between the US and the ECA.

The only scheduled services euroAtlantic currently operate link Lisbon with Bissau.
