Skyjet Airlines (M8, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) and SEAir International (XO, Angeles City Clark International) have been cleared to resume operations after the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) reinstated their respective Air Operator Certificates (AOC) this past weekend.

The CAAP said in a statement that both carriers had rectified eight deficiencies identified in their operations and safety mechanisms during a European Union-baced audit in April.

"...in a letter signed by CAAP director general William K Hotchkiss lll addressed to Mr. Avelino Zapanta, president of SEAIR International and Capt. Teodoro Fojas, Magnum Air (Skyjet) Inc. accountable manager, they were given notice that their respective airlines are still the subject of heightened surveillance by the aviation authority,” the CAAP said in a statement.

Though it had successfully secured a Manila court order over turning its suspension, SkyJet voluntarily grounded it operations to allow the CAAP to reassess its operations.

SEAir International specializes in passenger and cargo flights from Manila Ninoy Aquino International to Basco, Caticlan, and Tablas using a fleet of one ATR42-500 (leased from ITI - Island Transvoyager (Manila Ninoy Aquino International)), one B737-200(F), and three Do328-100s. For its part, Skyjet Air operates a single BAe 146-100 from Manila to Basco and Busuanga.
