Indian integrated transportation and distribution firm, Blue Dart Express, has acquired control of local freight specialist Blue Dart Aviation (BZ, Chennai).
In a stock exchange filing, Blue Dart Express said its board of directors had approved the purchase of an additional 21% stake in the carrier, bringing its overall shareholding up from 49%, to 70%. The board had originally sought 74%.
Blue Dart Aviation operates five B757-200(PF)s on night-time courier flights throughout India.
