Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin International) has announced plans to open a first base outside Ireland in 2008. It has signed a cooperation agreement with jetBlue Airways (B6/New York JFK) and is expected to eventually offer codeshared connections to US cities via Boston and New York JFK. It will launch twice weekly A320-200 service from Dublin to Santiago de Compostela on March 27 and three times weekly A320-200 service from Dublin to Vilnius on May 29.
