Norwegian (Oslo Gardermoen) has placed a firm order for 42 B737-800s and has secured options for another 48 aircraft of the B737NG family. The aircraft will be operated by Norwegian and its subsidiary flynordic (LF/Stockholm Arlanda). In the meantime, it will also add an additional ex-Titan Airways (ZT/London Gatwick) B737-300 to its fleet next month and has also wet-leased an A320-200 from XL Airways France for five months. It has announced plans to open a new base in Rygge south of Oslo near the city of Moss and the Norway-Sweden border in early 2008.
