MaxAir (Nigeria) (VM, Katsina) is in the process of phasing out its fleet of four B747-300s airline Public Relations Manager, Alhaji Ibrahim Dahiru, has disclosed.

Speaking to The Nation newspaper, Dahiru said the carrier would replace the quadjets with relatively newer B747-400s.

Specializing in Hajj passenger charter flights, MaxAir currently owns one B747-400 - 5N-HMB (msn 25067) - while two ex-Korean Air (KE, Seoul Incheon) B747-400s are due shortly. Thus far 5N-HMM (msn 26409) has already been delivered with msn 26403 due in the coming weeks.

MaxAir also operates an ERJ Legacy 600 (E135) business jet.
