Malaysia Airlines (MH, Kuala Lumpur International) has placed a firm order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for twenty-five B737 MAX 8s. The order, previously attributed to an unidentified customer, also includes purchase rights for a further twenty-five B737 MAX 8 and 9s. Deliveries will commence in 2019.
The Malaysian national carrier currently operates fifty-six B737-800s with an overall average age of 4.3 years.
