Global online shopping giant, Amazon.com, has rolled out the first freighter to operate exclusively for Amazon in a Prime Air livery.

One of twenty such freighters on lease from Atlas Air (5Y, New York JFK), B767-300(F) N1997A (msn 27310), was formally unveiled to the public during a ceremony at the Seafair Air Show held last week.

"There are currently eleven dedicated airplanes flying for Amazon as of today with additional airplanes rolling out over time," a statement said. "In an ode to its Prime members, Amazon’s first airplane in its dedicated fleet features a tail number made up of a Prime number."

The jet will be joined by twenty more B767 freighters leased from Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (ATSG), parent firm to ABX Air (GB, Wilmington, OH) and ATI - Air Transport International (8C, Little Rock).
