Texas Air Shuttle (Houston Conroe North Regional) has commenced operations following its inaugural flight between Conroe and McKinney on Thursday, August 11.

Aimed primarily at the business community, the subscription-based carrier offers tiered monthly memberships for unlimited travel in Texas on weekly scheduled routes between McKinney National Airport (30 minutes north of downtown Dallas), Houston Conroe North Regional/Conroe, San Antonio Stinson Municipal Airport (11 kilometres south of downtown San Antonio) and Austin Executive. Operations are on-board Beech (twin turboprop) King Airs.

Unlike other operators in its niche, Texas Air Shuttle secured its full Part 135 certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and does not rely on third-party capacity providers.

The company plans to expand throughout 2016 to other cities in Texas, as well as in the neighboring states of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.
