Air Creebec (YN, Val d'Or) has announced it has acquired a 12.5% stake in fellow Quebecois operator Propair (PRO, Rouyn) for an undisclosed sum.

The partnership will allow both companies to share human and material resources while benefiting their medical and aircraft leasing services.

Propair president, Stephen Lambert, said during the official announcement ceremony at the Val-d'Or Air Show: "We were two almost identical carriers, but not with the same fleet. We, the smaller, operate 9- and 18-seaters while they specialize in the Dash."

For its part Propair operates two Beech 1900s, nine Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 100s, and one Gulfstream I on air taxi and medevac flights throughout Quebec, Ontario and the north-eastern United-States. For its part, Air Creebec operates fourteen Dash 8-100s, one Dash 8-300, two Beech (twin turboprop) King Airs, one Beech 1900D, and two BAe 748s on scheduled and charter services to fifteen destinations across Quebec and Ontario.
