Start-up FlyPlymouth (Plymouth Roborough) will launch a second crowdfunding initiative this week in an attempt to raise GBP 75,000 by October 29, Avitrader reports.

The company is also mounting a battle to reopen Plymouth Roborough airport from which it plans to start operations to London, Manchester International, Glasgow International, Edinburgh, Belfast, and Dublin International. The airport was closed in 2011 due to a lack of interest. The start-up is attempting to acquire a short term lease on the airport's site currently held by Sutton Harbour Holdings on long term lease.

However, there is renewed hope that the recent Brexit vote could be a catalyst for the airfield's reopening given the UK's upcoming need for renewed international trade and travel ties.
