Eurowings Europe (Austria) (E2, Vienna) has outlined planned services for its upcoming base in Palma de Mallorca, Spain which is set to launch from May 25, 2017.

The Eurowings (EW, Düsseldorf) subsidiary said in a statement that it will use a pair of A320-200s to connect the Balearic island with Leipzig/Halle, Dortmund, Dresden, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Salzburg, and Nuremberg.

The base is the LCC's first outside of Austria and its third overall. At present, it operates from its main Vienna hub with Salzburg to come online from January 2017.

Eurowings, Eurowings Europe and germanwings (4U, Cologne/Bonn) currently already serve Palma from Berlin Tegel, Cologne/Bonn, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Hamburg Helmut Schmidt, Hannover, Stuttgart Manfred Rommel and Vienna.
