Saudia (SV, Jeddah International) will retire its entire fleet of twenty-three B777-200(ER)s by the end of 2017 as part of its fleet modernisation initiative, the carrier said in a statement.

Five of the aircraft will be phased out this year, while the remaining eighteen will be retired during the course of 2017.

According to the ch-aviation fleet module, Saudia continues to operate the B777 in the form of twenty-five B777-300(ER)s and four B777-Fs.
