The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has awarded two mainland Chinese carriers their maiden Hong Kong International and Macau International traffic rights respectively.

The regulator said in a statement issued October 10, that it had awarded China Express Airlines (G5, Chongqing) authority to operate daily Guiyang-Beihai-Hong Kong flights using CRJ900s effective November 20.

It has also awarded Uni-top Airlines (Kunming Changshui) authority to operate a 3x weekly Wuhan-Macau service using A300-600(F) or B747 freighters effective November 1.

According to the ch-aviation schedules database, Air China, Air Hong Kong, Cargolux, Cathay Pacific, China Cargo Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Dragonair, HK Express, Hong Kong Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Spring Airlines, SF Airlines, and Yangtze River Express have been designated to operate China-Hong Kong flights.

Between the mainland and Macau, Air China, Air Macau, China Eastern, Hainan Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Spring Airlines, and Xiamen Airlines are currently operating.
