Sunwing Airlines (WG, Toronto Pearson) says it has resumed only partial services to the Bahamas following the passing of Hurricane Matthew.

The Category 4 Hurricane swept through the Caribbean archipelago earlier this month inflicting what insurance companies have estimated to be almost USD500 million worth of damage to infrastructure.

As such, the Canadian leisure operator said that with all hotels in Nassau open and fully operational, it has resumed service to Nassau International from Toronto Pearson as of Thursday, October 20. However, given the extent of damage incurred in Freeport, flights to Freeport International Grand Bahama International Airport will only likely resume around mid-December assuming all resorts and hotels have reopened by then.
