Everts Air Alaska (5V, Fairbanks International) has placed an order with Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) for the passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion of an ex-Alaska Airlines (AS, Seattle Tacoma International) MD-83, N965CE (msn 53079).

The aircraft will head to Commercial Jet’s Dothan, Alabama facility where it will commence modification on December 19 in time for re-delivery to Everts Air Alaska in April 2017. A further two MD-83s are also included in the same conversion agreement; msn 53125 (due next) and 53078 (already converted).

Everts Air Alaska will use the MD-83(SF) for seasonal demand in Alaska as well as ad-hoc cargo flights in North America.

Founded in 1994, Everts Air Alaska operates one B727-200(F), four DC-9-30(F)s, two E120RT(F)s, and one MD-82(SF) as well as other smaller aircraft.
