Nordic Seaplanes (Aarhus SPB) has announced on its website that it has suspended commercial operations until mid-February owing to its only aircraft requiring mandatory maintenance.

Flightradar24 ADS-B data indicates DHC-6-300 OY-NSA (msn 577), which is wet-leased from Croatia's European Coastal Airlines (Split), was ferried to Altenrhein, Switzerland, on December 28, 2016.

"The major overhaul takes about a month, and hence we expect to be in the air again in mid-February, but it depends entirely on the Danish weather," it said in a statement.

Launched in May 2016, the Danish seaplane operator offered multiple daily (weekdays) return flights between Aarhus and Copenhagen waterdromes.

A new timetable will be released in February.
