Air Transat (TS, Montréal Trudeau) will make its Middle Eastern debut later this summer with a 2x weekly Montréal Trudeau-Tel Aviv Ben Gurion, Israel service.

In a statement, the Canadian carrier said the A330-300-operated flights will begin on June 18 and run through until October 29.

"We are thrilled to feature our very first destination in the Middle East. The demand for a direct Montreal-Tel Aviv flight was high for travellers visiting friends and family in the two cities and those in search of new discoveries," Annick Guérard, President and General Manager of Transat Tours Canada, said.

At present, the Canada-Israel market is served by Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) and El Al Israel Airlines (LY, Tel Aviv Ben Gurion) albeit from Toronto Pearson instead of Montreal.

Owned by Canadian tour operator, Transat A.T. Inc., Air Transat specialises in scheduled and charter flights to leisure destinations across the Americas, the Caribbean, and Europe.
