Serene Air (ER, Islamabad International) commenced scheduled passenger operations on Sunday, January 29 with B737-800 AP-BNA (msn 61352) operating flights ER502/3 between Karachi International and Islamabad International.

According to a press release, the start-up secured its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PkCAA) earlier last week.

Serene Air plans to connect Karachi, Islamabad International, Lahore International, Quetta, Peshawar and Faisalabad before adding more domestic destinations. International operations are planned to start once the carrier has successfully completed the requisite one-year period of mandatory domestic operations.
