ALK Airlines (VBB, Sofia) will shortly add a maiden MD-83 to its fleet Skyliner Aviation has reported. Originally intended for Burkina Faso's Colombe Airlines (CBL, Ouagadougou), N589BC (msn 49662) was ferried from Ouagadougou to Varna last week where it is currently undergoing predelivery maintenance checks. The twinjet has already been added to the Bulgarian register as LZ-MLK.
Specializing in passenger charter operations, ALK Airlines also operates one Fokker 100 and two MD-82s.
