Airlink (South Africa) (4Z, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) has taken delivery of its maiden E190 following the arrival of N193NC (msn 19000193) in South Africa earlier this week.

The twinjet, formerly VH-ZPF with Virgin Australia (VA, Brisbane International), was positioned to South Africa from Nashville International via each of Bangor, Reykjavik Keflavik, Skopje, Aswan, and Entebbe Skyliner Aviation reports.

The aircraft is one of two contracted through Nordic Aviation Capital as part of the carrier's fleet renewal and expansion plans. The plans also includes three E170s. Collectively, the Embraer Regional Jets will be used to replace Airlink's aging fleet of twelve ARJ-85s.
