Air Caraibes (TX, Pointe à Pitre) will assume the Paris Orly-Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, service fellow Groupe Dubreuil carrier French Blue (Paris Orly) currently operates beginning later this quarter.

According to Airline Route, the switch will take place from June 16 onwards with Air Caraibes Atlantique (CAJ, Paris Orly) servicing the route with one of its two A350-900s.

The change will mean French Blue's market focus will shift from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean where it will start an 8x weekly Paris Orly-St. Denis de la Réunion service from June 16 onwards.

French Blue was granted access to the Caribbean market only as an interim measure after Groupe Dubreuil management, to avert further industrial action in April last year, agreed to limit its operations to the Indian Ocean while preserving the Transatlantic/Caribbean for Air Caraïbes.
