Nevsehir/Kapadokya (Cappadocia) airport in central Turkey has announced that it will be closed for five months from May 1, 2017 to September 30, 2017 as it undergoes essential runway repairs. Turkish Airlines advises its customers to use Kayseri Airport, located 83 kilometres away.
Prior to the shutdown, Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) operated flights twice daily Nevsehir – Istanbul Atatürk and 3x weekly Nevsehir – Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen.
