Air Seoul (RS, Seoul Incheon) has been awarded a Foreign Air Carrier Permit from the US Department of Transportation (DOT), allowing it to commence scheduled operations from Seoul Incheon to Guam International.

The Asiana Airlines (OZ, Seoul Incheon) subsidiary intends to launch the flights on September 17, utilising A321-200 aircraft with 195 seats in an all-economy-class configuration. The flights will operate under Asiana's designation.

Guam has seen an increase in visitors from Korea recently, with numbers for this year up 27% on the same period last year.

Launched in July 2016, Air Seoul currently offers budget flights to seven destinations in Japan and three in Cambodia, Malaysia, and Macau. It currently operates three A321-200s with plans to add a further two in June and August of this year.
