Amjet Executive (AMJ, Athens) has applied to the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) for a Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP) and exemption authority to conduct flights between the European Union (EU) and the United States.

The application asks that Amjet be granted permission to perform ad hoc charter operations from within the European Common Aviation Area to points in the United States and beyond via intermediate points, utilising passenger aircraft with a maximum capacity of not more than 60 seats.

The Greek charter carrier has included its Dassault Aviation Falcon 7X SX-JET (msn 184) and Falcon 8X SX-CGR (msn 405) in its application, but has specifically excluded its MD-83 SX-IFA (msn 49809).
