FlyMe (Maldives) (Malé) has resumed ATR42 operations following the delivery of 8Q-VAX (msn 647) earlier this week. According to Skyliner Aviation, the turboprop, formerly F-OIPI with Air Calédonie (TY, Nouméa Magenta), was positioned to the Maldives from Toulouse Francazal via Toulouse Blagnac and Alexandria Borg el Arab.

The Maldivian domestic operator last operated the type over two years ago in the form of 8Q-VAQ (msn 606), now HK-5159 with EasyFly (Colombia) (Bogotá).

Aside from this addition, FlyMe also operates a single ATR72-500 and a Cessna (single turboprop) Grand Caravan on scheduled services connecting the Maldivian towns of Malé, Dharavandhoo Island, and Maamigili.
