PIA - Pakistan International Airlines (PK, Islamabad International) has accepted six of the eighteen bids submitted following a Request For Proposals (RFP) for the long-term dry-lease of four narrowbody aircraft.

In a statement, the state-owned carrier said all offers submitted focussed on A320-200 machinery. Bids put forward by AerCap (msn 4143 and 4152), AWAS (unspecified), and BOC Aviation (msn 5011 and 4990) were accepted.

Those A320-200s put forward by BOC Aviation (msn 5270, 5305, 5311, 5334, and 4961) and CDB Aviation (msn 5231, 5259, and 5262) were rejected on the grounds they would only be available beyond 1Q 2018. An offering from JetLease was rejected as incomplete.

As the tender's Lowest Evaluated Bidders, Aercap, AWAS, and BOC Aviation will now conduct further negotiations with PIA concerning the possible signing of a final contract.
