Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for ten B737 MAX 10s at the 2017 Paris Air Show. To be finalized, the proposed deal must be approved by Xiamen Airlines' board of directors, the China Southern Airlines Company Limited's board of directors, and the Chinese Government.

Xiamen Airlines is an existing B737 MAX customer having inked an MOU for up to thirty B737 MAX 200 aircraft last year. As such, its MAX order book consists of seventy firm and forty commitments. It plans to also deploy its MAX jets to its subsidiaries which include Hebei Airlines (NS, Shijiazhuang) and Jiangxi Airlines (RY, Nanchang International).

Xiamen Airlines currently operates an all-Boeing fleet of eleven B737-700s, 121 B737-800s, four B757-200s, six B787-8s, and three B787-9s. It plans to grow its operational fleet to 280 aircraft by the end of the decade.
