VLM Airlines (Slovenia) (Maribor) has outlined its Summer 2017 operational plans which will see it plying both chartered as well as scheduled passenger flights.

In a statement, the recently certificated carrier said it was currently using its two Fokker 50s to run summer charter flights for Italian tour operator Balkan Express. As it stands, the services entail flights from the Italian cities of Ancona, Bari, and Salerno Pontecagnano (where the aircraft are based) to Croatia (Bol Brač, Split, and Zadar), Greece (Kerkyra, Preveza/Lefkas and Zakinthos) and Montenegro (Podgorica and Tivat).

In August, VLM will also begin operating scheduled flights from Maribor to Split and Tivat.

Sister carrier VLM Airlines (Antwerp) (Antwerp) is currently undergoing certification with the Belgian Ministry of Transport despite parent firm SHS Aviation's move to acquire the AOC of Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium (Brussels National).
