MRO provider Nord-Technik has filed court documents claiming that Nordavia (Arkhangelsk Talagi) owes the company RUB58 million (USD966,000), reports news site MK.

"The company continues to declare its 'financial stability', deliberately misinforming both the competent authorities and passengers," Nord-Technik claims. "The statements of JSC Nordavia regarding the fact that the company's debt to creditors is 'technical' should be considered as deliberate misrepresentation, since such a term in legal practice simply does not exist."

As previously reported, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) curtailed the validity of Nordavia's Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) until August 30 over a debt dispute with businessman Dmitry Chertok.

A hearing will be held in the Arbitration Court of the Arkhangelsk Region on September 4.
