Swiss (LX, Zurich) has announced it has ended ARJ-100 operations. In a statement to ch-aviation, Swiss said its last remaining aircraft of the type, HB-IYZ (msn E3338), conducted its last commercial service as LX7545 Geneva-Zurich on Tuesday, August 15.

Having operated a total of eighteen of the BAe Systems quadjets, Swiss is replacing them with its incoming fleet of thirty C-Series jets (ten A220-100s and twenty A220-300s) due from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) by the end of next year.

According to Swiss spokeswoman Karin Müller, the C-Series will also replace the carrier's fleet of five A319-100s.
