ATA Airlines (Iran) (TBZ, Tabriz) has acquired a B737-500 from Ukrainian ACMI/charter operator Khors Aircompany (Kyiv Boryspil). According to Skyliner Aviation, UR-CPJ (msn 28927) was sold to the Iranian carrier as EP-TAG having formerly been in service for ATA on a wet-lease contract.

As it stands, ATA's owned fleet consists of three A320-200s, one B737-300, and six MD-83s. It also wet-leases two more MD-83s from Bukovyna Airlines (BKV, Chernivtsi) as well as two B737-300s and a B737-500 from Khors.

Khors was last week embargoed by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for its dealings with sanctioned Iranian carrier Caspian Airlines (CPN, Tehran Mehrabad).
