OneJet (Pittsburgh International) has announced it will add Cessna Citation CJ4 aircraft to its fleet during the first quarter of 2018.

The Pennsylvania-based virtual carrier said in a statement its initial program with Textron Aviation, the firm which oversees Cessna Aircraft Company, will use aircraft from the company's Pre-Owned Direct inventory and focus on a base-specific roll out. Once delivered, the aircraft will be operated by OneJet's technical partner, Contour Aviation (LF, Smyrna), which currently provides it with Hawker 400 capacity.

"Our agreement with Textron Aviation is an important step for our growing fleet model, as it provides an OEM production solution that will help us deliver exceptional performance to an expanded set of targeted markets while offering our customers fantastic cabin comfort and functionality," Matthew Maguire, OneJet CEO, said. "We look forward to this initial deployment of the CJ4, and are excited about the prospective growth opportunities with the Cessna platform."

Launched in May 2016, OneJet operates over 180 weekly flights to and from its main base Pittsburgh International with weekday flights to Albany, NY, Cincinnati International, Hartford Bradley, Indianapolis International, Louisville International, Nashville International, Providence, and Richmond International, VA. It will shortly open a secondary base at Milwaukee General Mitchell with service to Columbus John Glenn, OH and Omaha Eppley due from November 1.
