Caribbean Airlines (BW, Port of Spain) has announced it will briefly transfer select Georgetown, Guyana, services from the current Georgetown Cheddi Jagan to Georgetown Ogle over the period October 13 to November 3, 2017.

The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority advised all carriers using Cheddi airfield this week that, owing to expansion works, the airport would be closed to traffic between 1800L and 0600L from Friday October 13 through November 2.

As such, the Trinidadian carrier said in a statement service affected by the move includes BW 483/4 - Port of Spain-Georgetown Cheddi Jagan and return. Select flights will be required to use Ogle airfield, located 6 kilometres (3.7 miles) east of Georgetown Cheddi, for the duration of construction works at Cheggi.

No other operators have thus far reported any associated changes of their own.
