Iberia (IB, Madrid Barajas) has reportedly placed an unconfirmed order for five A330-200s. It has entered into a codeshare agreement with PLUNA (PU/Montevideo) to offer its passengers connections from Montevideo to Asuncion. It has also announced new regional routes: Barcelona-Ciudad Real: daily CRJ-200/Dash 8-300 service operated by Air Nostrum (YW/Valencia) (already launched) Ciudad Real-Las Palmas: 2x weekly CRJ-200 service operated by Air Nostrum (already launched) Madrid-Bari: 4x weekly seasonal CRJ-900 service between July 24 and September 5 operated by Air Nostrum Iberia has given up its Madrid-Gibraltar route on September 28. It has retired its last MD-88s by the end of October.
