Aruba Airlines (AG, Aruba) has modified a wet-lease contract with Canadian ACMI/charter operator Voyageur Airways (VAL, North Bay) switching out a previously announced Dash 8-300 in favour of a CRJ200, C-GJZJ (msn 7553).

The carrier's Chief Financial Officer, Francisco Arendsz, told the Curacao Chronicle that a second of the type would be sourced in the near future to handle charter requests as well as AOG events.

Arendsz said the twinjet was procured when it became apparent the turboprop would not arrive in time to start operations at the end of last month. As such, it is currently deployed on flights between Aruba and Curacao. Service between Aruba and Bonaire has been deferred to later in the month given bureaucratic delays, the CFO added.
