Wataniya Airways (Kuwait) has wet-leased an A320-200 from Latvian ACMI/charter specialist SmartLynx Airlines (6Y, Riga) with YL-LCP (msn 1823) having been positioned to Kuwait on Saturday, November 4.

According to a SmartLynx statement, the aircraft will be deployed on flights to destinations in the Middle East and Europe on a contract that runs from November 5, 2017, through to March 31, 2018.

For its part, Wataniya Airways operates two A320-200s, on dry-lease from Air Arabia, on flights connecting Kuwait with each of Bahrain International, Baku Heydar Aliev International, Beirut, Luxor, Najaf, Sarajevo, Sohag, and Tbilisi. Service to Kathmandu, Nepal, is also expected to commence before year-end.
