Air Santo Domingo (SDO, Santo Domingo La Isabela) has announced plans to start scheduled and chartered commercial flights to the United States.

In its application to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for a renewal of exemption authority, the resurgent Dominican carrier said it aimed to offer scheduled flights from the Caribbean island to Miami and New York in the United States as well as Puerto Rico. It also aims to offer Part 212-compliant charters to the US.

Air Santo Domingo currently operates five Jetstream 32s, two Beech 1900Cs, and two Shorts 360s.
