Empire Aviation India (Bangalore HAL) has received a non-scheduled operator's permit (NSOP) from the India's Civil Aviation Department, AINonline reported.

The certification allows the Indian subsidiary of the Dubai International-based Empire Aviation to expand into the aircraft management, operation and services sectors in India.

"This means that it can build on its existing services to offer a broader range of integrated private aviation services, to meet the demands of one of the most exciting aviation markets in the world," Empire Aviation's managing director Paras Dhamecha said during the Dubai Air Show, quoted by AINonline.

The UAE-based part of the company currently operates a fleet of 22 business jets, including Embraer Legacy 600s and 650s, Bombardier Global Express jets and Gulfstream G650s. Dhamecha stated that while the main base of the airline remains at Dubai Int'l airport, the majority of flights are now operated from the less congested and more cost-efficient Dubai World Central.
