South American low-cost carrier holding, Viva Air, has firmed up a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for thirty-five A320neo and fifteen A320ceo signed with Airbus during this year's Paris Air Show.

In a statement, the firm said the first aircraft under the deal would arrive during the third and fourth quarter of 2018.

"By 2018, there will be seven new aircraft for VivaColombia (Medellín José Maria Córdova) and Viva Air Perú (Lima International), which will allow us to continue expanding our model in Latin America," William Shaw, CEO and Founder of VivaColombia, said.

VivaAirPerú currently operates two A320-200s on scheduled flights to seven destinations across Peru while Viva Colombia employs twelve A320-200s to serve eleven destinations across Colombia as well as in Panama, Colombia, and the United States.
