The government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has earmarked BAM1 million (USD609,000) to subsidise flights between Mostar and Zagreb Franjo Tuđman, expected to be launched in Summer 2018 by Croatia Airlines.

The southern Bosnian city, located in an area with a sizeable ethnic Croat population, lost air connectivity to Zagreb after B&H Airlines (Sarajevo) discontinued the service in 2006. The now defunct airline had operated this route 3x weekly under a code-share agreement with Croatia Airlines using ATR72 aircraft.

Privrednik.ba reports Croatia Airlines is expected to operate the Zagreb-Mostar route at least 2x weekly.

According to the ch-aviation capacity module, Mostar currently sees only seasonal scheduled service with Eurowings flying 2x weekly to each of Düsseldorf and Stuttgart Manfred Rommel between May 16 and October 24, 2018. The airfield is also served by a number of charter carriers.
