The US Department of Transportation (DOT) has tentatively granted commuter air carrier authority to Jet Edge (EDG, Van Nuys), a brand of Western Air Charter on December 28, 2017, paving the way for the expansion of the airline's transcontinental services.
According to a DOT filing, the air taxi operator intends to increase its public charter flights between Oakland International and White Plains, NY from 2x to 7x weekly, using its existing Gulfstream IV aircraft, primarily N945GS (msn 1384).
