Mahogany Air (HOG, Lusaka) is planning to expand its operational network to include international services, the Zambian carrier's chief executive Jim Belemu has said.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Belemu said plans were currently underway to launch flights to each of Johannesburg O.R. Tambo, Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta, Lubumbashi, and Dar es Salaam during the first half of 2018.

"Mahogany Air promises to offer even more exciting services in 2018 and beyond as we expand our operations," he stated.

Relaunched last year, Mahogany Air currently operates two E120s on scheduled flights from Lusaka to each of Livingstone and Ndola International with plans to add Solwezi, Mfuwe, and Mansa this year.

In June 2017, Belemu said a consortium of Zambian and Dubai-based investors had pledged to recapitalize Mahogany Air to the tune of USD23 million spread over the next three years.
