Qantas (QF, Sydney Kingsford Smith) has been reprimanded by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for listing Taiwan and Hong Kong as countries on its website. The Chinese authority had earlier criticised Delta Air Lines for listing Taiwan and Tibet in such a way.

The Australian flag carrier has immediately offered apologies and set out to correct the listing as directed by the CAAC.

According to the ch-aviation capacity module, Qantas currently operates 29 weekly flights to Hong Kong International (14 from Sydney Kingsford Smith, 7 each from Melbourne Tullamarine and Brisbane International, and one from Cairns). It does not serve Taiwan. In mainland China, the carrier serves each of Beijing Capital and Shanghai Pudong out of its main base at Sydney.
