Air Arabia Egypt (E5, Alexandria Borg el Arab) will make its European debut during the second quarter of this year with 2x weekly flights between Alexandria Borg el Arab and Milan Bergamo, Italy. According to an airline press communique, the service will start on May 4.

"The launch of this service from our hub in Alexandria marks a new chapter in the growth of travel demand in Egypt," Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, said. "This venture into Milan strengthens our commitment to continuously offer new and exciting destinations to our passengers, and provide them with affordable options for travel to destinations across our growing route network.”

Currently, Bergamo is connected to Cairo International by AlMasria Universal Airlines (UJ, Cairo International), and each of Sharm el Sheikh and Marsa Alam by Meridiana fly (Olbia).

The Egyptian unit of Air Arabia (G9, Sharjah), Air Arabia Egypt currently uses a fleet of two A320-200s to serve Amman Queen Alia in Jordan, Kuwait, and the Saudi cities of Dammam, Jeddah International, and Riyadh from its Alexandria hub.
