MaxAir (Nigeria) (VM, Katsina) is planning to enter the scheduled domestic Nigerian market using its recently acquired B737-300, msn 27720.

Public Relations Manager, Ibrahim Dahiru, said in a press release to the local press the former Southwest Airlines (WN, Dallas Love Field) narrowbody would be based out of Kano and would be joined by two other unspecified aircraft, presumed B737s as well. According to its booking portal, initial flights will focus on Lagos.

Established in 2007, MaxAir has specialized in running Hajj and Umrah charter flights using its fleet of four B747-300s and three B747-400s. It also operates a single EMB Legacy 600 on private charters.
