Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) says it is planning to begin scheduled B787-10 operations during the second quarter of this year.

The type's launch operator, Singapore Airlines is expecting its first -10 to arrive in March following which it will be deployed into service in May. According to the carrier, Singapore-Osaka Kansai, Japan, is to be its inaugural route.

Singapore Airlines has forty-nine B787-10s on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National). They will be configured with 337 seats in two classes; 36 in Business Class and 301 in Economy Class.
