Ryanair (FR, Dublin International) has announced it will launch its maiden services to Turkey with flights to Dalaman out of each of Bratislava and Dublin International set to commence in June 2018.

Each of the routes will be operated 1x weekly using B737-800 equipment.

The service out of Bratislava will also become the Slovakian capital's sole scheduled route to Turkey. According to the ch-aviation capacity module, Turkish Airlines currently serves Kosice in Slovakia out of its main hub at Istanbul Atatürk.

For its part, Dublin currently sees scheduled services by Turkish Airlines to Istanbul Atatürk, as well as Aer Lingus flights to Izmir Adnan Menderes.

The move follows a gradual expansion of Ryanair in the wider Middle East region which already saw the carrier adding routes to both Israel (Tel Aviv Ben Gurion and Eilat Ovda International) and Jordan (Amman Queen Alia and Aqaba).
