Meridiana (Olbia) will resume four times weekly seasonal A319-100 service from Florence to Palermo between June 2 and September 2. It has not suspended its public service obligation routes from Catania, Palermo and Trapani to Lampedusa and Pantelleria and still wet-leased three ATR 42-300s for these services and other regional flights out of Cagliari. Meridiana has however terminated its Verona-Naples route at the end of March and will also pull out of the Naples-Venice Marco Polo route on September 30. It will return one of its four A319-100s to the lessor after the summer season. It has entered into a codeshare agreement with Blu Express (BV/Rome Fiumicino) and is now selling Blu Express services from Rome Fiumicino to Lamezia Terme, Nice and Turin while Blu Express is selling Meridiana flights from Rome Fiumicino to Cagliari, Olbia and Verona. Meridiana and Windjet (IV/Catania) have also extended their codeshare agreement to include additional routes such as Catania-Turin, Catania-Verona, Rome Fiumicino-Catania and Rome Fiumicino-Palermo.
